The Socialist International Women urges all its member organisations to:
reaffirm their support for the Iranian women in their struggle to attain their rights;
urge the Islamic Republic of Iran to free all women, which are currently in prison because of their political beliefs;
demand the release of all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience;
express their grave concern regarding the increasing number of executions, death by stoning, torture, flogging and amputations in Iran;
express their grave concern regarding discrimination against religious and ethnic minorities and
demand that the Islamic Republic of Iran respects the rights of women in all spheres of life and changes any laws or regulations that hinders women from being part of Iran’s social and political life.
